This view shows the performance of the selected scenarios in terms of source use, costs and sustainability.
Sources
Fuels
Depending on the selected fuel types of the differt consumers the fuel concumption is presented in their associated units.
Electricity
- Total consumed: the sum of all consumers, e.g. illumination
- Total produced: the sum of all devices which generate electricity, e.g. CHP, wind and PV
- Extracted from the public grid (Buy)
- Returned to the public grid (Sell)
- Difference between the extracted and returned electricity (Net use)
The resulting costs of buying and gains of selling electricity are calculated every hour and based on the electricity price for peak an off-peak hours
Water
Water consumption, based on crop transpiration, fogging, pad fan and water regain from cooling and dehumidification.
CO2
The ammount of externally used CO2 (not from exhaust gasses)
Performance
Variable costs
Overview of the variable costs, consisting of fuel costs, electricity costs and CO2 costs.
Sustainability
Sustainabity performance indicators consisting of:
- Crop production: harvested fresh weight
- Energy use: total energy use, including fossile and renewable energy
- Energy efficiency: how much product is produced per GJ of energy (fossile and renewable)
- Energy efficiency: how much product is produced per mole of light (natural and illumination)
- CO2 emission: total CO2 emission according to the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), not taken into account:
- the CO2 emission of the grid
- the uptake/fixation of CO2 by the crop.
- CO2 from external sources used for for CO2 fertilization
