Greenhouse Energy Guide - Help
Screens

Screens are used for different applications:
- energy screen: reduces the heat loss of the greenhouse through convection and radiation, while also achieving a higher crop and head temperature.
- shading screen: reducing the excess of sunlight, often in combination with making the light diffuse. The screen is closed above a certain solar radiation intensity.
- blackout screen: prevents light pollution to the environment during illumination and is often also used as an energy screen during the night.

The simulator uses a default screen control that suits the application: an energy screen will close at night, a shade screen will close above 600 W/m irradiation and a blackout screen will close during the night and during the day when the lamps are swithed on. The control uses a screen gap to prevent excess air temperatures and humidity.
The Advanced mode allows the user to choose a custom screen control.
